Steve Sims is the man who created Bluefish, the internationally famous company that makes once in a lifetime events happen for the rich and famous, and he reveals to the rest of us his trade secrets for making things happen. Steve’s day job is to make the impossible possible. With his help and expertise, his client’s fantasies and wildest dreams come true. Getting married by the Pope in the Vatican, being serenaded by Andrea Bocelli, and connecting with powerful business moguls like Elon Musk and Sir Elton John are just a few of the many projects he has worked on. Forbes Magazine calls Steve the “real” Wizard of Oz.
Steve is also the author of the best-selling book, Bluefishing, The Art of Making Things Happen, the host of The Art of Making Things Happen Podcast, one of Mike’s favorites and the creator of the Steve D Sims Speakeasy.
Mike and Steve cover a ton of great stuff in this episode, like why he’s so impressed by entrepreneurs, who he describes as a strange group of dysfunctional weirdo’s who are also problem solvers that get things done, why he thought of school as just something that got in his way, how a conversation with his grandfather during a tea break on a construction site in East London changed his life, why saying yes to everything and figure it out later has been key to his success and why he believes that the most valuable commodity you have is you. This episode originally aired on Episode 92. We received tremendous feedback on Steve, that we want to make sure new listeners get a chance to hear this conversation between Steve and Mike.
And now, here’s Steve Sims.
